When I saw the thumbnail of this photo I thought it has to be staged. It looks too perfect. Most of the time I think that only pros capture photographs like this.

When I look at the photo closely it reminds me that there is so much in this world worth taking photos of. There are so many cool things happening everyday. There is beauty all around us if we are willing to see it. I am happy that other people are willing to share that beauty with me.

I have been in the airport when I have seen things like this. There is something about travel that brings things together like this.

Where has this summer gone? I have had a great summer, but it is almost over. It has gone by quicker than I expected. The older I get the quicker summer gets. It will not be long before summer feels like just an extra long weekend.

I still miss summers in Philadelphia; I miss the feeling that makes it special there. There is something special because there are things like miniature golf and water ice that only make sense in the summer. I miss going to the swim club and the movies as relief from the humidity.

For now I am going to enjoy my last few weeks of summer. I am going to get outside as much as I can and enjoy the summer. I will let the sun hit my skin and remember how good it is to be alive.

I could look at this picture all day. I like it is the unreal feel. It reminds of a sci-fi movie. It makes me think that this escalator goes someplace sinister. I like that feel.

It also reminds me of a Moby music video.

There are so many things in this world that amaze me. Some of these things are small and meaningless. I am happy that I can be amazed by small things. Many times the most wonderful things in this world are the things with the least meaning.

I think this piece of graffiti is amazing. I am surprised that an artist would even come up with this. I love when something like graffiti becomes this post-modern. I am just sad that this is in Rome and not in San Jose.

You can live your life in such a way that people remember you long after you are gone. I know that I am not living my life in that way. I am living my life in a way that only people who know me will remember me when I am gone.

I am not sure that Frank Rizzo was a good person. I know that he did what he thought was right for Philadelphia, but that is not the same as being a good person. It is easy to be a bad person when trying to do good things.

I wonder if Philadelphia is a better or worse place 30 years after he was mayor.

I do not have much to say today. The advantage of a photo blog is that I do not need to say much. I can let the photo do the talking for me. That is my plan for today.

It has been my other blog where I have tired to do things that do not fit into Sad Salvation. It has been a Song of the day blog, a place I have warehoused photos, a review blog, and a media blog. Most of these ideas do not last long. I would do them for a few weeks and get bored. Most of the time I would not do them because it was taking away from my time to write Sad Salvation.

I have restarted Super Karate Monkey Fist again. It is now an "other people's photoblog." Since Flickr has a feature that will allow me to blog other people's photos, I thought it would be a good idea to take advantage of that feature. There are so many good photos on Flickr. I have a lot to say about the photos I find there.

There are so many good photos on Flickr. People are taking pictures of so many cool things. I can spend hours just looking at other people's pictures. I feel like I am being let in on what is going on in the rest of the world. Flickr holds all these lives and I am free to look at them. I think it is cool that I can take those pictures and write about them. I just hope that I have enough to say about the pictures I am seeing.

I see so many signs that are worth taking note of. It is easy to understand what this sign means, but it seems odd. We do not expect our pictogram to walk in this way.

I like Flickr because it gives me the chance to see photos from all over the place. I can photographs from not only the U.S. but from all over the world. Flickr falls into the catagory of giving me the internet I always wanted. I think this is such a great way to trade information.

This is another photo that I cannot look away from. The way it is framed is what attracts me to it. We know so very little about this woman. We have very liffle information in this picture. All we have is her face. We have no idea what is going on in the world around her.

There is something about the veil. It is out of place on a women of this age. It is perfect for the mood, but we knew the women is playing dress up by wearing the hat and veil. Her playing dress up makes the photo more interesting.

I like tattoos that are not typical. For some reason I love cartoon tattoos. I feel they are a kind of metamedia. It is bridging two art froms.

I am getting interested in taking photos of tattoos. I love talking to people about their tattoos. Taking photos is a good excuse to talk to people about their ink.

There is something universal about photography. There are photos that everyone seems to take sometime. I know I have taken a photo just like this. To me this photo says something about being alone. It is a photo you take when no one else is around. You are the only object on the landscape.

For some reason Flickr makes some people take pictures of flowers. I have met many people who have never taken pictures before, but start taking pictures because of Flickr.

I think this is a good sign. We are getting to a point where it will be easy for anyone to take pictures of anything. It is a great way to get your pictures in front of other people. I think that will influence lots of photographers. Using Flickr and being engaged could make people better photographer.
